Jeice occupies a unique role within the Ginyu Force as both a capable combatant and the member most likely to recognize when a situation has become unwinnable. While his teammates tend toward bravado and overconfidence, Jeice demonstrates a survival instinct that occasionally borders on cowardice, though he would never describe it that way. He sees himself as a pragmatic fighter who conserves his energy for the right moment.

On Planet Namek, Jeice fought alongside Burter against Goku in their signature combination attacks. The two had trained together extensively, and their coordinated assaults were genuinely dangerous; the Purple Comet Attack combined their energy into a single devastating projectile that few opponents could withstand. Against Goku, however, even their best teamwork proved insufficient.

When Goku defeated Burter, Jeice did something none of his teammates would have considered: he fled the battlefield to report to Captain Ginyu. This decision was tactically sound but earned him ridicule from Ginyu, who viewed retreat as unacceptable regardless of the circumstances. Jeice's choice highlighted the tension between practical survival and the Ginyu Force's warrior code, which demanded that its members fight to the end.

Jeice returned to the fight alongside Captain Ginyu, but their combined efforts against Goku still fell short. After Ginyu used his body-swap technique on Goku, Jeice found himself in the awkward position of serving under "Ginyu" in Goku's body, a version of his captain who was struggling to control unfamiliar power. The confusion that followed left Jeice vulnerable, and Vegeta ultimately killed him without much difficulty.

Jeice's personality blends genuine loyalty to his teammates with an instinct for self-preservation that sets him apart from the rest of the Ginyu Force. He mourns Burter's defeat, shows real concern when the tide turns against his squad, and is the only member who fully grasps how outmatched they are by the Saiyan fighters. In another context, these traits might make him sympathetic, but his willing service to Frieza's genocidal empire prevents any real redemption.

Like the rest of the Ginyu Force, Jeice serves as both a credible threat and comic relief, a difficult balance that the Namek Saga maintains with remarkable consistency. His partnership with Burter is one of the more fleshed-out relationships among secondary villains, and their coordinated fighting style offered a preview of the team-based combat that would become more prominent in later arcs.
