Biography and Story Role

Pamput enters the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament as a heavy favorite, having already won two other worldwide fighting championships and built a successful film career. The crowd adores him, though Pamput himself is frustrated that his fans care more about his movie star status than his fighting credentials.

He makes a flashy entrance for his match against Goku, attempting to intimidate the boy by destroying an arena wall with an elbow strike to demonstrate his power and speed. However, when Pamput attacks Goku directly, the young Saiyan dispatches him with a quick three-hit combination to the chest, knocking the champion out almost instantly. The tournament announcer is stunned by what appears to be a single-punch knockout.

Pamput's swift defeat serves as an early indicator of how far above normal fighters Goku and his peers have already risen. Despite being a legitimate champion by regular human standards, Pamput is completely outclassed by anyone trained in the martial arts traditions of Master Roshi's school.
