Biography and Story Role

Spice served as Garlic Jr.'s chief lieutenant during the villain's second assault on Earth. He led the Spice Boys in capturing Kami and Mr. Popo at the Lookout, and orchestrated the release of the Black Water Mist to enslave the planet's population. Spice was diplomatic by demon standards, often attempting to recruit powerful fighters rather than immediately resorting to violence. He extended offers to both Piccolo and Gohan to join Garlic Jr.'s forces.

Despite his composure, Spice was deeply cruel. He relished watching Gohan suffer at the hands of a possessed Piccolo and fought dirty whenever the opportunity arose. His knowledge of the Makyo Star was extensive, and he inadvertently revealed the star's importance to the heroes, which contributed to Garlic Jr.'s final defeat.

When the Makyo Star drew near to Earth, Spice transformed into a larger, more muscular form with greatly increased power. He battled Gohan while Vinegar fought Krillin. After Krillin was knocked off the Lookout, Gohan's rage unlocked his latent power, and a Double Masenko destroyed both Spice and Vinegar simultaneously.
