Escape from M-2

Episode 23 opens with Baby clutching the One-Star Dragon Ball, quietly scheming. Meanwhile, Giru defrosts the Grand Tour Spaceship and much of the metal coating Planet M-2. As the crew attempts takeoff, General Rilldo, now possessed by Baby, holds the vessel in place. Goku, Trunks, and Pan combine their energy into a Multiple Kamehameha that obliterates Rilldo for good. As the ship rockets into space, Baby slips out of Rilldo's remains undetected.

With the Dragon Radar active again, Giru immediately picks up a signal. The crew traces it to a derelict starship spiraling toward a nearby sun, giving them limited time to board and search.

Racing the Sun

Using space scooters, the group enters the abandoned vessel and locates the One-Star Dragon Ball lodged in the engine room. Pan notices something else moving deeper inside the ship. Despite the ticking clock, she refuses to leave without investigating. A machine monster designated HWM 100 X attacks her, but the combined efforts of Goku, Trunks, and Giru neutralize its missiles. Pan destroys the machine with a volley of Ki Blasts, revealing a severely injured green boy hidden aboard.

With less than a minute before the ship melts in the sun, everyone scrambles back to their scooters. They escape the vessel but get caught in the sun's gravitational pull. Abandoning the scooters, they link up via Giru's grappling hook, and Goku propels them to safety with a Kamehameha blast.

A Parasite in Disguise

The green boy is in critical condition, so Giru broadcasts an SOS and receives coordinates for Planet Pital, a medical world. On arrival, Goku hides under the waiting room chairs to avoid getting a needle while the doctors rush the boy into emergency care. The medical team stabilizes him, but as soon as the room empties, an abnormal heartbeat registers on the monitors.

Baby has been hiding inside the boy all along. With only a nurse as witness, Baby detonates the room. The explosion sends smoke billowing through the facility just as the doctor is about to deliver a status update, leaving the crew unable to see through the haze. The episode ends on this ominous cliffhanger, confirming that Baby's threat is far from over.
