Vegeta batters Ginyu and forces him out of Goku's body through a clever interception, leaving the captain trapped in the body of a Namekian frog. With Goku placed in a healing tank, the Earthlings summon Porunga, Namek's Eternal Dragon.
Vegeta wastes no time thrashing Ginyu, who still cannot unlock Goku's full potential despite occupying his powerful Saiyan body. Battered and desperate, Ginyu attempts his Body Change technique again, this time targeting Vegeta's body. Goku, despite his severe injuries, throws himself into the beam's path at the last second. The switch reverses: Goku returns to his own body and Ginyu is left in his original, wounded form once more.
Undeterred by the setback, Ginyu fires the beam once more at Vegeta. This time, Goku grabs a nearby Namekian frog and hurls it into the beam's trajectory. The captain's consciousness is transferred into the tiny amphibian, ending his threat permanently in the most humiliating way imaginable. The leader of Frieza's elite fighting force is reduced to croaking helplessly on the Namekian plains, a fitting end for a warrior who relied on stealing others' bodies rather than developing his own strength.
With this final switch, the Ginyu Force saga comes to a close in spectacular fashion. Every member of Frieza's prized squad has been neutralized, and the path is now clear for the real confrontation that everyone has been dreading: the fight against Frieza himself.
With the Ginyu Force neutralized, Vegeta places Goku in a medical machine inside Frieza's own spaceship to recover from his injuries. He provides Krillin and Gohan with fresh Saiyan battle armor, a practical gesture that also serves as a symbol of their uneasy alliance. Then Vegeta collapses into an exhausted sleep, his body finally demanding rest after days of constant fighting and near-death experiences.
Meanwhile, Nail continues his losing battle against Frieza, eventually revealing that his sole purpose was to stall for time. The enraged tyrant abandons the fight and races back toward his ship, realizing too late that he has been played.
Seizing the opportunity while Vegeta sleeps and Frieza is still in transit, Krillin, Gohan, and Dende gather the seven Dragon Balls and speak the Namekian incantation. The sky darkens, lightning splits the heavens, and Porunga, the Eternal Dragon of Namek, erupts from the glowing orbs. Unlike Earth's Shenron, Porunga is a massive, muscular dragon capable of granting three wishes.
The clock is ticking. Both Vegeta and Frieza will detect the dragon's presence, and the Earthlings must decide quickly how to use their wishes before either one arrives to seize control. Every second of deliberation is a second closer to losing this opportunity forever.
