Purple mushroom-headed aliens from a planet attacked by Lord Slug in a Dragon Ball Heroes promotional movie. Their peaceful civilization was nearly destroyed by Slug's Demon Clan before being saved by Goku, Beat, and the Frieza Clansman Froze.
These unnamed aliens possess distinctive purple mushroom-shaped heads, giving them an appearance that is both whimsical and immediately recognizable. They stand at roughly the same height as Frieza's first form, making them relatively short by humanoid standards.
Their society appears to include family units, as evidenced by a father and son who feature prominently in their story. The young members of the race show spirit despite their obvious physical vulnerability, with one child bold enough to throw a rock at what he believed was Frieza.
Their planet was targeted by Lord Slug and his Demon Clan in events depicted through a Dragon Ball Heroes promotional movie. Slug transformed into his Great Namek form and destroyed one of the race's cities, while his henchmen Angila and Medamatcha attacked the civilian population.
The conflict began when a young mushroom alien threw a rock at Froze, a Frieza Clansman, mistaking him for the tyrant Frieza. This case of mistaken identity drew Froze into the conflict. When Slug's lieutenant Wings attacked the boy and his father, knocking the father down with a brutal punch, Froze intervened and defeated Wings along with his soldiers.
Goku and Beat arrived on the planet and quickly dispatched Angila and Medamatcha. The three heroes then confronted Lord Slug himself and presumably defeated him, restoring peace to the mushroom people's world.
The mushroom-like aliens are notable for being rescued by one of the more unusual alliances in Dragon Ball history. Goku, the Dragon Ball Heroes protagonist Beat, and Froze, a member of Frieza's own species, joined forces to liberate their world.
Froze's involvement is particularly interesting. A Frieza Clansman defending an innocent race from conquest inverts the typical dynamic of the Dragon Ball universe, where Frieza's kind are usually the aggressors. The young mushroom alien's initial hostility toward Froze, born from association with Frieza's appearance, gives way to gratitude once Froze proves himself an ally.
Though they remain unnamed and their appearances are limited to Dragon Ball Heroes media, these mushroom-headed people represent the kind of vulnerable civilization that gives Dragon Ball's heroes a reason to fight beyond personal strength and rivalry.
