Black Kamehameha

Technique

Goku Black's corrupted version of the Kamehameha, identifiable by its dark blue energy with a black core. It carries the same fundamental mechanics as the original but channels the twisted divine ki of a fallen Supreme Kai inhabiting a stolen Saiyan body.

Mechanics

Goku Black assumes the standard Kamehameha stance, cupping his hands at his side, but the energy that forms is distinctly different from any legitimate version of the technique. The sphere charges with a dark blue outer glow surrounding a pitch-black center, reflecting the corrupted nature of Black's ki. When fired, the beam maintains this dark coloring, visually distinguishing it from every other Kamehameha variant in the series. The power behind it matches Black's considerable strength as a deity-level fighter using Goku's body.

Key Uses

Goku Black first fires the Black Kamehameha upon arriving on Earth in Future Trunks' timeline, using it to devastate West City as part of his campaign to eradicate mortals. He later attempts to use it to destroy Future Trunks' Time Machine as Trunks escapes to the past, but Trunks manages to travel back in time just before the blast connects.

In Combat

During direct confrontations, Black uses the technique as his primary ranged attack. In the manga, he fires a Super Saiyan-enhanced version against Vegeta, though the Saiyan prince dodges it. The technique's power grows significantly once Black achieves Super Saiyan Rose, spawning the even more dangerous Super Black Kamehameha variant.

Variants

The Black Kamehameha has several escalated forms. The Super Black Kamehameha amplifies the base version with Rose-level energy. The Binding Black Kamehameha combines Black's beam with Future Zamasu's energy in a team attack. A God-Slicing variant integrates Black's energy blade technique with the beam for a hybrid assault. These variations reflect how Black continuously refined and adapted Goku's stolen techniques to suit his own divine fighting style. The technique appears in Xenoverse 2, Dragon Ball Heroes, and Dragon Ball Fusions as one of Goku Black's core special moves.
