Golden Frieza's rapid-fire barrage of Death Beams, unleashed in a machine-gun style volley. A devastating upgrade to his already lethal signature technique.
The Emperor's Death Beam takes Frieza's classic Death Beam and multiplies it into a relentless hail of golden energy bolts. In his Golden Frieza form, Frieza opens with a single powerful Death Beam before transitioning into a gatling-gun style barrage, firing dozens of beams in rapid succession. Each individual beam carries significant piercing power, and the sheer volume of fire makes dodging nearly impossible. During the Tournament of Power, Frieza refined the technique further by gaining control over the direction of each beam mid-flight, allowing him to curve and redirect the barrage to track moving targets.
Frieza debuted the Emperor's Death Beam at the start of his battle against Super Saiyan Blue Goku during the Golden Frieza Saga. After slamming Goku into a mountainside, Golden Frieza unleashed the barrage on the godly Saiyan, hammering his position with a relentless stream of golden Death Beams. The technique established immediately that Golden Frieza was not simply stronger, but had developed entirely new combat tools during his time training in preparation for his revenge.
The Emperor's Death Beam became one of Frieza's most frequently used weapons during the Tournament of Power. Before the tournament even began, Frieza used an improved version to single-handedly annihilate a squad of assassins sent by Universe 9, curving each beam to track its target. During the tournament itself, Frieza used the barrage to defeat and eliminate Super Saiyan 2 Cabba from Universe 6, ending the young Saiyan's run with a merciless volley. Later, he employed the technique to torture Top of Universe 11, weakening the Pride Trooper enough for Android 17 to finish him off with an energy wave. The Emperor's Death Beam proved that Frieza had evolved far beyond simple brute force into a truly tactical fighter.
