Final Flash

Technique

Vegeta's most powerful standard energy wave, developed in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. He debuted it against Perfect Cell, blowing off half the Bio-Android's torso with a blast visible from space.

Vegeta's Ultimate Beam

The Final Flash demands a specific and dramatic charge sequence. Vegeta throws both arms wide with palms open and fingers spread, gathering an immense amount of ki. Electric yellow bolts of energy crackle outward in every direction as a sphere forms between his palms. He then straightens his arms forward, combining the gathered energy and releasing it as a colossal golden beam with crackling electric ki spiraling around it. The scale of the attack is adjustable: Vegeta can fire a focused, concentrated version for precision, or pour everything he has into a planet-threatening blast visible from orbit. It stands alongside the Galick Gun and Big Bang Attack as one of Vegeta's three signature techniques.

Half of Cell, Gone

Vegeta created the Final Flash during his training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and debuted it against Perfect Cell. Despite Cell being significantly more powerful overall, Vegeta's extended charge time allowed him to pack an extraordinary amount of energy into the attack. Cell, overflowing with confidence, stood perfectly still and dared Vegeta to hit him. Only at the very last second did Cell sense the true danger and try to dodge. The beam carved through the air where Cell had been standing, disintegrating the ground and continuing off into deep space. When the dust settled, the entire upper half of Cell's torso was gone. The victory was short-lived, as Cell regenerated moments later, but the attack proved that Vegeta's technique could wound even the most durable opponents. It is implied Vegeta deliberately angled much of the blast away from Earth to avoid destroying the planet.

A Technique That Grew with Vegeta

The Final Flash evolved alongside its creator. As Majin Vegeta, he used it against Super Saiyan 2 Goku during their emotionally charged battle. Future Trunks inherited the technique and used it against Zamasu in the Future Trunks Saga. In Dragon Ball GT, Vegeta fired a Final Flash against Super 17, and Baby Vegeta utilized the technique through his possessed host body. During the Tournament of Power, Vegeta continued to rely on the Final Flash as a heavy-hitting option, and its blue-tinted Super Saiyan Blue variant became a staple of his godly-level arsenal. The technique has appeared in virtually every Dragon Ball fighting game as Vegeta's ultimate move, and it consistently ranks among the most popular attacks in the franchise alongside the Kamehameha and Spirit Bomb.
