God Kamehameha

Technique

The divine-powered evolution of the classic Kamehameha, used by Goku in his Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and Blue Kaio-ken forms. It served as the finishing blow against Golden Frieza in Resurrection 'F'.

The Kamehameha Goes Divine

The God Kamehameha functions identically to the standard version in terms of form: Goku cups his hands at his side and channels energy before thrusting forward. The difference is the ki itself. Infused with godly energy from Super Saiyan God or Super Saiyan Blue, the beam carries exponentially more destructive power and takes on a deeper, more radiant coloration. In Blue Kaio-ken, the already amplified wave becomes even more intense.

Unlike some of Goku's other divine techniques, the God Kamehameha isn't a fundamentally new attack. It's the same wave Master Roshi invented, evolved through layers of increasingly powerful transformations. That continuity is part of what makes it satisfying: the first technique Goku ever learned remains his go-to weapon at the highest levels of combat.

From Frieza to Jiren

The God Kamehameha's film debut comes in Resurrection 'F', where Goku uses it to counter Golden Frieza's Golden Death Ball and later to finish Frieza off entirely. In the Dragon Ball Super anime, it becomes Goku's primary ranged weapon. He fires it against Hit in the Tournament of Destroyers (barely missing but burning Hit's shoulder), against Duplicate Vegeta on Planet Potaufeu, and at Bergamo during the Zeno Expo in a Blue Kaio-ken-enhanced variant that overwhelms Bergamo's Wolfgang Penetrator.

During the Tournament of Power, the God Kamehameha sees extensive action. Goku fires it at Legendary Super Saiyan Kale, who walks straight through it without flinching. He uses it against Jiren, who dodges effortlessly. Against Kefla, a Blue Kaio-ken God Kamehameha destroys her Gigantic Blast, but she teleports behind Goku and drops him back to base form with a kick. Eventually, he uses it to punch through the Pretty Black Hole and eliminate Zarbuto, Rabanra, and Zirloin.

Combined Finishers

Some of the God Kamehameha's most powerful applications come when combined with other attacks. During the Tournament of Power, Goku pairs it with Vegeta's God Final Flash to create the God Final Kamehameha, which eliminates the Trio of Danger. Later, it joins forces with Vegeta's Final Flash, Gohan's Ultimate Kamehameha, Frieza's Golden Death Beam, and Android 17's Photon Flash in a five-person combined wave that pushes Agnilasa off the arena.

The technique has spawned numerous variants, including the Dash Kamehameha (a charging version used to kill Frieza), the Burst Kamehameha (a short-range double burst in the manga), and the 10x God Kamehameha used in Blue Kaio-ken form.
