One Finger, Divine Authority

The Wrath of the God of Destruction is deceptively simple in execution. Beerus extends the index finger of his left hand and fires a concentrated energy wave from the fingertip. What makes it special is the nature of the energy: it is infused with Hakai, the destructive power unique to Gods of Destruction. This gives the beam properties that ordinary ki blasts lack, including the potential to erase targets from existence rather than simply damaging them.

The technique draws a clear visual parallel to Frieza's Death Beam, another single-finger energy wave. But where Frieza's technique is about precision and speed, Beerus's is about divine authority. The beam carries the weight of his role as Universe 7's Destroyer.

Destroying Planets for Practice

In the manga, Beerus casually uses this attack to destroy an entire planet. In the anime, he prepares it to kill Vegeta after their battle during the Battle of Gods arc, but Bulma's slap interrupts him before he fires. During the Battle of Gods film itself, Beerus uses the technique mid-combat against Super Saiyan God Goku, channeling it to increase the size of his Beerus Ball energy sphere.

Champa's Quick Temper

Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6, also uses the technique. When spotted by Garana and his squadron of soldiers, Champa fires the Wrath of the God of Destruction to obliterate them all without a moment's hesitation. It is a stark reminder that Gods of Destruction do not negotiate, threaten, or warn. They simply destroy.

Casual Annihilation

The Wrath of the God of Destruction is significant because it demonstrates the baseline of what a God of Destruction can do without effort. This is not Beerus's ultimate attack or even a particularly impressive technique by his standards. It is what happens when a Destroyer points a finger at something and decides it should stop existing. The fact that it can be combined with the Beerus Ball (creating Beerus's Judgement) or used to annihilate planets from across a solar system puts the power hierarchy of the Dragon Ball universe into perspective. Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta with a Supernova and considered it his greatest feat. Beerus could do the same with a casual gesture.
