Overview
Rupture is one entry in the multi-Quirk loadout carried by Woman, a High-End Nomu engineered to hold several powers at once. It arrives in Chapter 268 and reaches the anime in Episode 117.
The naming carries a quirk of its own. Two different Japanese readings can render the concept: Haretsu, which lands closer to a bursting or rupturing, and Sakuretsu, which reads as an explosion.
Mechanics
The premise is brutally simple. Whoever holds Rupture can trigger a detonation inside their own frame, blowing the body outward at will. It operates as an Emitter power effective at middling distances.
Nothing about the ability suggests restraint or a partial setting, which makes it far more viable for a Nomu built to survive being torn apart than for an ordinary human.
Notable Users
Woman is the sole wielder shown with Rupture. Her real innovation was pairing it with Liquification, first loosening her body into a fluid state and then detonating, which flung an enormous spray of herself across a wide area.
That combination shows why the engineered Nomu are dangerous in a way individual villains rarely are: two Quirks stacked together produce an attack neither could deliver on its own.
