The Silver Fortress - Luffy and Barto's Great Adventure

As the Going Luffy-senpai pushes into a downpour of hail, the Straw Hats are floored to discover the Barto Club sails without a navigator and simply phones their granny, whose counsel runs to scraping gum off the deck and soothing bumps. Bartolomeo declines to throw up a barrier because that same granny warned him never to oppose nature, so Luffy climbs the masthead and blows the hail away on his own. Once night falls, hunger rouses him just as an enormous chunk of meat floats past; he grabs hold, Bartolomeo follows, and both are reeled onto a drifting platform where Desire has caught them. Sticky cannon shells foil the crew's rescue, and the captors slip off with the two of them.

Silver Mine, a forsaken island near Dressrosa, houses a fortress of silver where Bill perches on his throne, chewing rock and dripping molten metal. Peseta lashes Bartolomeo into mining ore, his hands stuck to a pickaxe so no barrier can form, while Luffy sits caged with a silver sphere sealing him below the neck. Desire boasts that her band is the ultimate weapon, its strength drawn from the Gutsu Gutsu no Mi that Bill devoured, and once hunger saps Luffy she allows him a bite of her chocolate. Bill then rallies the Silver Pirate Alliance, crowing about more than a hundred crews beaten and an ambition to surpass even the Four Emperors, parades enemies entombed in metal, and exposes himself as a Blast Furnace Human.

Bursting up through the stage to defend Luffy, Bartolomeo is met by Bill's molten blade, which slices the silver sphere and melts a portion of it. Luffy rolls through the crowd to flee with Bartolomeo trailing him. Cornered afterward by Desire, Bartolomeo rejects her offer to spare him in exchange for Luffy, and her cannon fire blasts open a chasm that swallows all three. As the opening installment of the Silver Mine Arc, this begins the saga set around Whole Cake Island and is the first to carry the We Can! theme. The footage before the title card is freshly drawn rather than recycled, the hailstorm sequence is stretched out, and the episode closes with Bill donating silver to a certain man.
