龟仙屋发现

Goku and Bulma arrive at Kame House, where Master Roshi is delighted to see them. They need a submarine to reach a Dragon Ball deep underwater, but the only sub is out with Krillin and Launch, who are grocery shopping on a nearby island. While they wait, Goku and Turtle go fishing and discover Turtle's son in the ocean. Roshi, up to his usual schemes, plies Bulma with drinks to make her use the bathroom.

Blue's Surveillance

The Red Ribbon Army has been tracking the Dragon Balls' movement and traces Goku to the small island. General Blue sends a scout to confirm the location, then privately vows to be the one commander who does not fall to Goku. He crushes a flower in his hand while promising that "nothing lasts forever." At headquarters, Commander Red and Staff Officer Black speculate about who might be helping Goku, with Red angrily dismissing Black's theories.

Setting Sail

Roshi uses the Micro Band to shrink himself and spy on Bulma in the bathroom, only to get flushed down the toilet. He manages to return to normal size just before Krillin and Launch arrive with the submarine. Krillin examines the map and notices the Dragon Ball is near a legendary pirate treasure site. After Roshi shares the pirate legend, Goku, Bulma, and Krillin depart in the submarine-capable airplane to find both the treasure and the Dragon Ball. The Red Ribbon scout reports Kame House's location back to General Blue, who mistakes Roshi for a scientist and the Dragon Radar's creator.

The Kame House scenes are a welcome breather between the intensity of the Muscle Tower arc and the underwater adventure ahead. Roshi's bathroom espionage scheme is classic Dragon Ball comedy, and his getting flushed down the toilet is karmic justice delivered with perfect timing.

Krillin Joins the Team

Krillin's addition to the underwater mission brings the team to three, creating a dynamic where his knowledge and caution balance Goku's recklessness and Bulma's temper. His excitement about pirate treasure adds a fun motivation beyond the Dragon Ball quest.

Blue Closes In

General Blue's methodical approach contrasts sharply with previous Red Ribbon encounters. He does not rush in. He observes, plans, and divides his forces strategically. The flower-crushing gesture is becoming his signature, a visual reminder that beauty and cruelty coexist in this villain.

This episode holds the distinction of being the highest-rated episode in the entire Dragon Ball anime series on Fuji TV, pulling a 29.5% rating share. Turtle's son makes his only appearance here, a character who never appeared in the manga.

The pirate treasure legend, told by Roshi and Krillin over a map, is anime-exclusive and serves to build excitement for the upcoming cave exploration. General Blue's misidentification of Roshi as a scientist adds an ironic layer, since the "old man" he dismisses is actually one of the strongest martial artists alive.
