Biography and Story Role

Vinegar helped Garlic Jr. and the Spice Boys seize control of the Lookout, capturing Kami and spreading the Black Water Mist. His impulsive nature was a constant issue; Spice had to stop him from killing an unconscious Piccolo, explaining that the Namekian was needed alive to use the Dragon Balls. Vinegar cared about his comrades and wanted to help Salt and Mustard against Gohan, but Garlic Jr. ordered him to stand back.

When Salt and Mustard were killed by Gohan, Vinegar was furious and demanded revenge. His primary opponent during the saga was Krillin, whom he overpowered with ease. Vinegar even caught one of Krillin's Destructo Discs and threw it back at him. He brutally kicked Krillin off the Lookout to fall to his apparent death.

When the Makyo Star drew close, Vinegar transformed into a much larger and more powerful form. He and Spice teamed up against Gohan, but the young Saiyan's rage at seeing Krillin's fall triggered his latent power. Gohan's Double Masenko destroyed both Vinegar and Spice in a single blast.
