While Goku's crew recovers a Dragon Ball on Planet Tigere, Baby arrives on Earth. Vegeta shaves his mustache at Bulla's insistence, and Goten goes on a date with Valese in Satan City. When Baby-possessed humans attack, Goten fights them off, leading to a direct confrontation with the parasite.
Episode 25 splits its focus between space and Earth. Out among the stars, Goku, Trunks, and Pan land on Planet Tigere, where they accidentally rouse a Giant Tiger guarding the Seven-Star Black Star Dragon Ball. The team outwits the beast by tricking it off a cliff, securing another Ball for their collection. Back on Earth, the one-year countdown to the planet's destruction weighs heavily on those left behind.
At Capsule Corporation, Chi-Chi, Bulla, Bulma, Goten, and Vegeta discuss the space crew's progress. The year is nearly up, and anxiety runs high. To lighten the mood, Bulla pressures Vegeta into shaving off his mustache. The Saiyan prince makes a grand announcement about his new look, only for everyone to politely pretend they do not notice any difference.
Goten leaves Capsule Corporation for a date with Valese, a girl on the rebound. Determined to impress her, Goten turns on every ounce of charm, listening attentively and taking her everywhere she wants to go. The evening seems perfect until violent disturbances break out across the city.
Mr. Satan attempts to restore order but finds his aging body no match for the situation. He spots Goten and begs him to intervene, but Goten insists he is busy with his date. Still, trouble finds him anyway when Baby-possessed civilians begin targeting Valese.
Goten dispatches the first three attackers without breaking a sweat, but a fourth man lands a surprise blow that catches him off guard. Baby recognizes the Saiyan energy coursing through Goten and emerges from the possessed man's body. The two face each other in Satan City, and the real fight begins.
This marks Baby's official arrival on Earth and his first encounter with a half-Saiyan warrior outside of the space voyage. With Goku, Trunks, and Pan still far away collecting Dragon Balls, Goten stands as the first line of defense against a threat nobody on Earth truly understands yet.
