Destruction for Sport

With three hours to kill, Nappa grows restless. Gohan, wracked with guilt over freezing during the battle, apologizes to Piccolo, who coldly tells him to go home if he cannot fight. Before Gohan can leave, Nappa fires a ki blast at the boy and mocks his cowardice. Instead of running, Gohan stands his ground and hurls an insult back, earning Vegeta's amused approval.

A news crew approaches the battlefield and Nappa happily obliterates them along with their entire campsite. He then turns his attention to the naval and air forces dispatched to investigate, destroying fleet after fleet for entertainment. He levels yet another city before the three hours expire, killing countless people purely for his own amusement.

Meanwhile, Goku arrives at the Check-In Station at the base of Snake Way. Kami meets him there and teleports him directly back to Earth. Korin provides two Senzu Beans, and Goku hops onto the Flying Nimbus to conserve his energy for the battle ahead. Back at Paprika Wasteland, Nappa strips off his damaged armor and Piccolo devises a plan to grab the Saiyan's tail, hoping to exploit the same weakness that crippled Raditz.

A Monster Unleashed, A Hero Returns

Nappa uses the three-hour reprieve as a playground, annihilating a news crew, the military, and an entire city. The television feed to Kame House goes dark, leaving Roshi and the others blind to what is happening. Gohan nearly walks away from the fight but finds his courage when Nappa taunts him.

Goku reaches the Check-In Station, is teleported to Earth by Kami, receives Senzu Beans from Korin, and speeds toward the battlefield on the Flying Nimbus. Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan prepare their next move: grabbing Nappa's tail to disable him.

The Nimbus Express

This episode bridges the three-hour intermission and Goku's return to the living world. Nappa's gleeful destruction of Earth's military showcases the terrifying gap between Saiyan power and conventional defenses. Goku's choice to ride the Flying Nimbus rather than fly under his own power reflects his discipline in preserving every bit of energy for the fight ahead.
