Final Burst Cannon

Technique

Vegeta's desperate full-power energy wave, fired in a rage against Frieza on Namek while trying to prove he was a Super Saiyan. The blast was enormous but Frieza kicked it away like nothing.

Vegeta's Desperate Gambit

The Final Burst Cannon is performed by Vegeta spreading his arms wide and gathering a massive whitish-purple aura around his body. He then throws both arms forward and releases everything in a single overwhelming energy wave. The technique represents Vegeta at his most emotionally raw, a fighter pushing beyond his limits out of pride and desperation rather than strategic calculation. It is essentially a maximized Galick Gun, channeling every last ounce of Vegeta's ki into one do-or-die blast.

The Futility on Namek

Vegeta first unleashed the Final Burst Cannon during his battle against final form Frieza on Namek. After every other attack had failed, Vegeta flew into the air and declared himself a Super Saiyan, pouring all of his rage and pride into the blast. He fired it straight down at Frieza, fully intending to obliterate the tyrant even if it meant destroying Namek in the process. Frieza's response was humiliating: he flew directly into the beam and simply kicked it back up into space, where it detonated in an explosion many times larger than Planet Namek. The blast missed Vegeta by inches as it sailed past him. The moment perfectly captured Vegeta's situation during the Namek Saga: powerful enough to create planet-threatening attacks, yet hopelessly outclassed by Frieza in every way.

Majin Vegeta's Return to Form

Vegeta used the Final Burst Cannon again during his battle with Goku as Majin Vegeta in the Buu Saga. This time, the context was completely different. Vegeta had willingly allowed Babidi to take control of his mind to unlock his dormant power, and the fight against Goku was personal rather than desperate. The attack demonstrated how far Vegeta had come since Namek, wielding the same technique with far greater power and control. The Final Burst Cannon has appeared in numerous video games, though it is often overshadowed by Vegeta's more famous Final Flash and Big Bang Attack in his signature moveset.
