The God's Final Flash

Prominence Flash is a variation of the Gamma Burst Flash designed specifically for Vegeta's Super Saiyan God form. The user charges energy into both hands, brings them together, and fires a single concentrated wave in a pose similar to the Final Flash. The beam itself burns with a mixture of red and yellow energy that mirrors the fiery, sun-like aura of Super Saiyan God, hence the name's reference to solar prominences.

Game Debut and Usage

Prominence Flash originated in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as part of the Ultra Pack 1 DLC, serving as Super Saiyan God Vegeta's Ultimate Skill. Players can earn it in New Parallel Quest 137: "Tournament of Power Round 2." A Dual Ultimate Attack version was later added in a free update, allowing Vegeta and a partner to fire the technique together.

In Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the technique appears as Super Saiyan God Vegeta's Ultimate Blast, with an updated animation that has Vegeta extend his hands to the side before bringing them forward, making it look even more like a divine cousin of the Final Flash.

Why the Name Matters

The naming convention is deliberate and clever. Solar prominences are massive loops of plasma that arc from the surface of the sun, structures of incredible energy that glow with exactly the kind of fiery red and orange hues that define Super Saiyan God's visual identity. By naming Vegeta's technique after this astronomical phenomenon, the designers tie the attack's aesthetics directly to the lore of the form it belongs to. It is a small detail, but it shows the kind of thoughtful naming that makes Dragon Ball's technique library feel cohesive.
