Monika Antonelli defined the English voices of Chiaotzu and Puar for Western audiences across the original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT. Her roles extended beyond the main dub tracks to include numerous additional voices in filler episodes, specials, and theatrical films. Antonelli's work spanned major features including Mystical Adventure, The Path to Power, and Bojack Unbound, as well as the acclaimed The History of Trunks special, where she voiced the future incarnation of Puar.
Career Beyond Voice Acting
Antonelli stepped away from regular voice work to pursue a full-time career as a librarian. She initially worked in Texas before relocating to Mankato, Minnesota, where she continues in library administration. Her commitment to her professional career meant she did not return for Dragon Ball Z Kai, with Brina Palencia taking over her iconic roles in that re-recorded series.
