Daemon

Small and boyish, Daemon carries the look of a mischievous kid rather than a lethal weapon. His canine teeth come to sharp points, a tiny beauty mark sits near the top of his mouth, and his eyes pair violet irises with yellow pupils. The turquoise hair he wears is cropped close and threaded with streaks of pink. His usual outfit is a star-dotted red hooded jacket layered over a turquoise shirt, matching red shorts held up by a white belt, and dark sandals, and he paints both his fingernails and toenails yellow. By the time three years have passed after Boruto leaves the village, he has switched to a hood shaped like rabbit ears, fastened with a trio of star-shaped buttons.

Away from combat, Daemon behaves like the playful, prank-loving child he appears to be, latching onto people he likes with startling speed. Everything about him orbits his sister Ada. He guards her from anyone whose intentions toward her seem impure, obeys her instructions to the letter, and will bite his tongue on secrets simply because she asked him to. That devotion has a tender streak too, and he was genuinely hurt when Bug tried to slip away without so much as a goodbye. The moment a fight begins, though, a colder side takes over. He kills without hesitation or regret and clearly relishes the violence, sulking whenever a battle is cut short. His confidence borders on arrogance, since he rates himself above Jigen, Code, Naruto, Sasuke, and even Boruto and Kawaki, and he hungers for opponents strong enough to test him. That craving is what draws his curiosity toward Himawari Uzumaki, in whom he senses a hidden intensity at odds with her gentle exterior.

Like the rest of Kara's remade soldiers, Daemon owes his gifts to Amado, who rebuilt his body with scientific ninja tools and spliced in the cells of Shibai Otsutsuki. Amado rates his fighting power above Jigen's, an assessment borne out when Daemon casually beats down a fully unleashed Code, and Ada names him the only being outside the Otsutsuki bloodline capable of killing her. On his own he has cut down dozens of the Human God Trees. His raw physique is monstrous, since a single kick is enough to snap a grown man's neck, and Boruto describes his strength as bottomless and beyond anything human. He moves fast enough that even Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan loses track of him, slips out of his stasis pod unnoticed, and swats aside Kawaki's chakra rods in mid-air. He is not limitless, however, and the endless copies produced by Mamushi's division eventually wear him down.

His signature gift is a shinjutsu inherited from Shibai's cells: any attack aimed at him is instantly turned back on the attacker, whether or not he even wills it. The catch is contact. He has to have a hand on someone, and the effect then shields that person as well, even when the striker is a third party. Simply intending to hurt him is enough to spring the reflection, with its strength rising alongside the killing intent behind the thought.
