A Blow of Anger! A Giant vs. Lucy

Anchored off Dressrosa, the crew inspects the odd damage within the Thousand Sunny. Present are Nami and Brook alongside Chopper and young Momonosuke, and their study is cut short when a woman enters and reshapes the door with a bizarre power. Her two escorts name her Giolla of the Donquixote Family, serving under Trebol's Army. A sweep of her ability then remolds the four into grotesque, art-like caricatures, and she gleefully calls them masterpieces. Nami demands the change be undone, but Giolla offers to comply only if Momonosuke is surrendered, then hurls a fresh cloud of art. Nami blocks it by slamming the hatch, and once the haze lifts the group scatters, with Chopper springing the lower doors so the rest can flee.

Enraged by their escape, Giolla summons more troops from Doflamingo's submarine and sends them chasing after the Straw Hats with orders to seize Momonosuke. The crew tries baiting her into striking their way, but she declines and instead drenches the whole of the Thousand Sunny in her power, remaking the ship entirely. Pleased with her handiwork, she insists the pirates can never leave Dressrosa and demands they give up.

At the Corrida Colosseum, Ricky refuses the attendant pressing him to lift his helmet for treatment, relenting only when Rebecca, whom he recalls from her childhood, asks it of him. Diamante meanwhile passes Bellamy a note ordering Luffy's death and dangles a promotion within the Donquixote Family, though Bellamy hesitates, remembering that Luffy had rooted for him. Carrying a suitcase, Bartolomeo falls in beside Cavendish, who warns the newcomer to stay out of his scheme to kill Lucy, unaware that Bartolomeo's tie to Luffy runs far deeper.

On the floor, Block C rages on, and the announcer Gatz points out a lone giant towering over the crowd. This is Hajrudin, who bats aside challengers effortlessly and swears to seize the Mera Mera no Mi so he can reign as king of the giants. Then Luffy, disguised as Lucy and mounted on the Fighting Bull dubbed Grim Reaper, charms the spectators before slamming into Hajrudin, whose massive fist crushes both rider and mount. Luffy stands unharmed thanks to his rubber body, but sorrow for his bull turns to fury. Slipping into Gear 2 and sheathing his arm in Armament Haki, he drops the giant with one strike as the arena watches in disbelief.

The anime portrays Giolla remaking Momonosuke and the Straw Hats into artwork, plus their getaway from the Thousand Sunny aboard the Shiro Mokuba I and the Shark Submerge III. Where the manga had Giolla mishear a jab about a mermaid princess only after transforming the group, the adaptation places that moment beforehand. Aremo Ganmi is again drawn as a plain background character stripped of her manga features, the third time her look has shifted here. The episode adapts Chapter 714.
