Role and Personality
East Kai presides over the eastern region of Universe 7, training warriors who compete under her banner. She first appears during the Other World Tournament, where she enters her students Arqua and Chapuchai to compete against fighters from the other quadrants.
She carries herself with considerable pride and is quick to scold her students for any perceived failures. Her competitive streak goes beyond martial arts; she is an avid racer who rides a jet bike and will find any excuse to challenge someone to a race. At one point she even challenges Goku to a speed competition on her bike.
Her race, the Glind, is relatively uncommon in the series. She wears red sunglasses as part of her signature look and sports a blonde wig over her natural red hair, a detail revealed during the Other World Tournament arc.
