Bepo

Standing far above any ordinary human at roughly the height of a full grown bear, Bepo is a white furred polar bear mink with claws and pointed teeth. His signature outfit is an orange coverall stamped with the Heart Pirates emblem, finished off by little brown boots. During the crew's time in Wano, he swapped the jumpsuit for a yukata patterned with their crest and surrounding fish, and oddly tied his short fur up into a topknot despite having no real hair to gather.

Bepo bruises emotionally with ease, sinking into gloom and apologizing the moment anyone remarks that he is a bear who talks. His shipmates dismiss him as soft of spirit, and strangers read him as timid. That reputation sits oddly against his actual nerve, since he stayed awake through a wave of Silvers Rayleigh's Conqueror's Haki, something only the truly resolute manage. He enjoys lording seniority over Jean Bart while refusing to be bossed in return, loathes hot climates because of his heavy coat, and now and then does something genuinely foolish, such as snacking on a fish pulled from a poisoned river.

Guiding the Heart Pirates across the seas is Bepo's trade, though Nami judged his charting and routing well below her own, and his Dressrosa map even carried a stray paw print. His senses are remarkable: he located a hidden marksman purely by hearing the instant of the shot. As a born Mink warrior and trained martial artist, he can scatter groups of Marines, swims at great speed, and after the timeskip grew strong enough to trade blows for hours with the Beasts Pirates. Under a full moon, or by way of a special drug from Chopper, he unlocks his Sulong form, which his crew rates as their second mightiest behind Law and which let him briefly resist Blackbeard himself.
