Biography and Story Role

Bibidi was an ancient sorcerer who sought universal domination. While initially said to have created Majin Buu, later revelations clarified that Buu had existed since time immemorial. Bibidi simply knew the means to awaken him from dormancy. In Dragon Ball Daima, it is further explained that a witch named Marba actually created Buu at Bibidi's request, as the wizard himself lacked the power to produce a Majin.

After unleashing Buu, Bibidi nearly died at the hands of his own weapon when Buu destroyed Planet Alpha. He managed to convince Buu that he was his "father" and proceeded to direct the creature against the Supreme Kais. Buu killed the West and North Supreme Kais and absorbed the South Supreme Kai. When Buu then absorbed the Grand Supreme Kai, the resulting innocent, childlike version proved more cooperative, swayed by promises of food.

Bibidi devised a magical sealing ball to contain Buu during transport and when the monster became disobedient. He sent the sealed Buu to Earth as his next target, but before he could arrive to release the creature, Shin tracked him down and killed him. Bibidi effectively lived on through Babidi, a doppelganger he had created to assist him. Their names, along with Buu's, reference the fairy tale magic words "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo."
