Belmod oversees Universe 11 as its God of Destruction, working alongside his Supreme Kai, Khai, and his Angel attendant, Marcarita. His appearance is distinctive among the destroyers, resembling a painted clown or jester, which belies the serious nature of his position. In the manga, it is revealed that Belmod is considering retirement and sees Toppo as his successor.

During the Tournament of Power, Belmod places all of Universe 11's hopes on Jiren, the mortal warrior who has surpassed even Belmod himself in strength. This unusual situation, where a mortal exceeds their universe's destroyer, speaks to both Jiren's exceptional talent and the relatively lower power ceiling among Universe 11's gods compared to figures like Beerus.

Belmod demonstrates genuine care for his universe and its inhabitants, reacting with visible distress when his fighters are eliminated from the tournament. His relationship with Jiren appears to go beyond mere professional respect; he understands Jiren's tragic past and seems to have helped guide him toward the Pride Troopers as a source of purpose.
