An Unlikely Alliance

Kale recovers from her berserker episode in Caulifla's arms as Goku prepares to engage Jiren. Before the confrontation can begin, Toppo ambushes Goku with his Justice Flash, then retreats alongside Jiren, leaving their five teammates, Kahseral, Tupper, Zoire, Cocotte, and Kettle, to handle the cleanup. The Pride Troopers declare they will avenge their fallen comrade Vewon, targeting both the Universe 6 Saiyans and Goku simultaneously.

Outnumbered and caught between two threats, Goku, Caulifla, and Kale form a temporary alliance out of pure necessity. Elsewhere on the arena, Master Roshi immobilizes Universe 3's Za Priccio with the Thunder Shock Surprise, allowing Tien to deliver the finishing blow with his Tri-Beam. Frieza casually eliminates Murichim before Vegeta can claim the fight, further irritating the Saiyan prince.

The battle against the Pride Troopers intensifies when Tupper locks Goku in a crushing bear hug from behind, amplifying his body weight to pin him down. Android 18 arrives to shatter Tupper's hold and hurl him from the arena. Android 17 outmaneuvers Kahseral despite the Pride Trooper's ability to shape his ki into energy blades. When the remaining four troopers focus their assault on the wounded Caulifla and Kale, Cocotte seals the Saiyans in a pocket dimension to prevent outside interference. Backed against the wall, Kale's desperation triggers her transformation once more, but this time she maintains awareness and control. Together, Caulifla at Super Saiyan 2 and Kale in her Legendary form fire a combined blast that overwhelms Kahseral, Zoire, and Kettle. Cocotte survives by shielding herself in a miniature dimension, but 18 simply picks up the bubble and tosses it off the edge.

Control Through Desperation

Kale's breakthrough is the episode's defining moment. Her previous berserker episodes were driven by jealousy and self-loathing, resulting in indiscriminate destruction. Here, facing the potential loss of Caulifla and needing to protect rather than destroy, Kale channels the same overwhelming power through a focused will. The controlled Legendary Super Saiyan form represents emotional maturity, transforming Kale from a liability into a genuine partner for Caulifla.

Android Efficiency

The Androids continue to demonstrate why infinite energy reserves matter in an endurance tournament. Neither 17 nor 18 shows any sign of fatigue, and their interventions are clinical rather than emotional. 18's elimination of both Tupper and Cocotte requires minimal effort, and 17's fight with Kahseral is more chess match than brawl. Five Pride Troopers fall in a single episode, leaving Universe 11 with only its three strongest members.

Shifting Power Balance

The elimination of five Pride Troopers strips away Universe 11's depth, but the remaining trio of Jiren, Toppo, and Dyspo represents arguably the most concentrated power on any team. Khai, Universe 11's Supreme Kai, shows no concern, trusting in their elite core. For Universe 7, the temporary alliance with the Universe 6 Saiyans demonstrates that the battle royale format creates strange bedfellows. Goku deliberately lets Caulifla and Kale retreat to recover, promising himself a proper fight at their full strength later. Above the arena, Brianne de Chateau watches from a vantage point, preparing Universe 2's own offensive.
