Familiar Techniques

The creature finishes draining its victim and turns its full attention to Piccolo. Across the planet, the other Z Fighters sense the confrontation unfolding in Gingertown and are deeply disturbed by the monster's energy signature, which carries the unmistakable traces of Frieza, King Cold, Vegeta, and Goku all blended into a single horrifying presence. No natural being should possess such a combination. Krillin and Future Trunks immediately change course and head toward Gingertown at full speed to provide backup.

Piccolo and the creature trade blows in the empty streets, and the fused Namekian quickly establishes dominance. His raw power after merging with Kami gives him a clear edge in close combat, and he batters the creature with punishing combinations that send it crashing through abandoned buildings. But the monster is full of surprises. Mid-fight, it extends one hand and fires a concentrated beam of spiraling energy that Piccolo instantly recognizes as his own Special Beam Cannon. Before the Namekian can fully process the shock, the creature cups its hands at its side and launches a full-power Kamehameha at point-blank range. Piccolo narrowly dodges the blast, but the follow-up attack catches him off guard. The creature's tail pierces his arm, draining it of all energy and leaving the entire limb completely useless and hanging limp at his side.

The Name is Cell

With Piccolo's left arm hanging limp and lifeless, the creature senses that victory is within reach. It pauses the assault and, almost proudly, introduces itself. Its name is Cell, and it was created by Dr. Gero. It possesses the genetic material of every great warrior whose cells the doctor's micro-robots collected over the years, explaining why it can replicate their signature techniques with such precision.

Cell reveals that it has not yet reached its true potential. It speaks of a "perfect form" that lies beyond its current state, a transformation that will make it the supreme being in the universe. For now, though, it needs to grow stronger by absorbing more living beings.

A Dangerous Foe Emerges

The androids, traveling by road in their stolen truck, sense a shift in the atmosphere. Android 16 reports detecting two enormous power levels locked in combat, with one reading roughly equivalent to Android 17's own strength. Android 17 scoffs at the claim, unwilling to believe anything could rival him.

Back in Gingertown, Piccolo faces a grim reality. Even with his enhanced power, Cell's ability to copy the greatest techniques in the world makes him unpredictable and dangerous. The creature is growing stronger with every human it absorbs, and time is not on the Z Fighters' side.
