Having promised Champa the complete humiliation of Universe 7, Frost puts his plan into motion. He ambushes Master Roshi, targeting the weakest remaining fighter to draw out stronger opponents. Roshi enters his Max Power form and even attempts the Evil Containment Wave, but fatigue prevents him from sealing Frost. The crafty villain then deliberately provokes Vegeta into joining the fight by firing shots at both Roshi and the Saiyan prince.

When Vegeta charges in, Frost reveals his true strategy. Auta Magetta, with molten rocks plugging his ears to prevent insult-based emotional damage, ambushes Vegeta from behind a wall. While the Saiyan is occupied with two opponents, Roshi attempts a second Evil Containment Wave. Frost deflects the technique back, sealing Vegeta inside the container instead. The tables have turned completely, and Frost savors his apparent victory over both fighters.

With his last reserves of energy, Master Roshi fires a Turtle Orb energy blast. As he collapses, he manages to redirect it toward the container, shattering it and freeing an enraged Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta. The prince blows off one of Magetta's earplugs and insults him into submission, then kicks the Metalman off the stage. Roshi, knowing he has nothing left, voluntarily steps off the arena. Krillin rushes to give him a Senzu Bean before his injuries prove fatal, and even Beerus offers rare words of respect for the old turtle hermit.

Frost's scheme is among the most cleverly constructed strategies in the entire tournament. Rather than facing Universe 7's strongest head-on, he exploits their protective instincts, using Roshi as bait and Vegeta's pride as a weapon against him. Turning the Evil Containment Wave against its user is a satisfying callback, as the technique has historically been a last resort for outmatched fighters.

Master Roshi's farewell is deeply poignant. His decision to leave on his own terms, having freed Vegeta through sheer willpower, cements his legacy as more than comic relief. Vegeta's terse instruction for Roshi to "retire" carries an unspoken acknowledgment of respect.

The episode title references "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F," drawing a parallel between Frost and Frieza. Both use deception as their primary weapon. Meanwhile, Jiren reinforces his dominance by eliminating Maji-Kayo effortlessly, reminding every universe that the Pride Troopers' leader operates on a different level entirely.

With 30 minutes left and Roshi eliminated, Universe 7 now fields seven fighters. The tournament's outcome may increasingly hinge on total warrior count as universes approach the threat of erasure.
