Chibiusa Tsukino / Sailor Chibi Moon

Chibiusa shares her manga look, with pink hair drawn into rabbit-ear odango and red eyes, though in the anime she never grows any taller. Across the seasons she rotates through summer and winter school outfits and various casual sets, her bows and colors drifting from red to blue as the series advances.

As Sailor Chibi Moon she wears a white armored leotard with a dark pink collar, choker, and skirt, dark red bows, dark pink boots, short gloves, and a gold tiara set with a red gem, plus crescent earrings and rabbit-ear hair covers; she later gains wing-like barrettes once Sailor Moon claims the Holy Grail. Her Super form brings gold collar stripes, a heart-ribbon choker, translucent wing shoulders, a billowy back bow, a gradient-edged white skirt, a crescent-topped tiara, and a heart compact at her belt.

Chibiusa is sweet but hot-tempered and easily misunderstood. She dotes on her future father Mamoru, whom she calls Mamo-chan and openly crushes on, much to Usagi's annoyance, and she needles Usagi as a clumsy crybaby even as the two plainly care for one another. The pair squabble far more like sisters than like mother and daughter.

Usually upbeat and cheerful, she starts out socially awkward, a leftover from being teased in the future for having no Guardian powers, but soon grows popular with her classmates. Her dream of becoming an elegant lady shapes much of what she does, pushing her toward perfectionism and a habit of trying to handle everything herself. Compared with the manga, this version is more judgmental and matures noticeably less over the course of the story.

Chibiusa is born Usagi Small Lady Serenity, daughter to Neo Queen Serenity and the ruler King Endymion, and journeys to the past under Sailor Pluto's guidance to protect the future. She debuts in the R season, using Luna-P to plant false memories in Usagi's family, and her presence strains Mamoru and Usagi's relationship while Rubeus and the Spectre Sisters hunt her. After she helps bring down Rubeus and the group travels to the future, despair drives her to Wiseman, who twists her into the vengeful Black Lady, until Usagi and Mamoru convince her of their love and the future Silver Crystal within her helps destroy Wiseman.

Returning in the S season, she gains the power to become Sailor Chibi Moon with the Prism Heart Compact, fighting mainly with the low-damage but distracting Pink Sugar Heart Attack. She grows close to Hotaru Tomoe and tries to save her from Mistress 9, even as her own Pure Heart is stolen to awaken the villain, before Sailor Saturn returns it. In SuperS she starts dreaming of Pegasus, drawing the Dead Moon Circus to her; she learns to reach her Super form, calling Pegasus with Twinkle Yell, and endures Nehellenia's schemes and a forced Eternal Sleep before Helios revives her.

She appears through the opening episodes of Stars, preparing to head home with Diana when Nehellenia's return jams the Time Door and takes Mamoru. As Chibiusa begins to fade from existence, she confronts Nehellenia beside Super Sailor Saturn and briefly dies in Usagi's arms, only to reappear once Mamoru is freed. She returns to the future soon after, with a final cameo in Usagi's dream promising that the two will reunite on the day Usagi gives birth to her.
