Breaking Through the Front Door

Goku arrives at Red Ribbon Army Headquarters on the Flying Nimbus and announces his presence by destroying a helicopter. Commander Red, realizing the approaching signal is not Mercenary Tao but the boy who defeated him, activates every defense system the base has: anti-aircraft missiles, heat-seekers, and ground turrets. Goku weaves through all of it on the Nimbus, dodging everything the military machine throws at him.

Once inside the base, Goku tears through the soldiers with ease. Kamehameha blasts clear rooms, his Power Pole takes down anyone who gets close, and the trained professionals Commander Red spent years assembling prove completely incapable of stopping one child. Colonel Violet, watching the carnage unfold, begins making her own plans.

Meanwhile, Yamcha pilots the rescue group through the Snowy Mountains, where a heat-seeking rocket locks onto them. Bulma's quick thinking helps them evade it, earning a joke from Roshi that gets the whole group laughing despite the tension. Krillin is picked up along the way after the group spots him during their flight. As Violet drops money and slips away from her post, Goku enters Wing-8 of the headquarters and begins smashing upward through the building toward Commander Red's office and the Dragon Balls inside.

An Army Reduced to Rubble

Watching Goku dismantle the Red Ribbon Army's defenses is the payoff for sixty episodes of buildup. Every missile, every turret, every battalion that once seemed so intimidating is swatted aside like nothing. The base that houses the world's most powerful criminal military organization cannot slow down a single child on a magic cloud.

Violet's Exit Strategy

While the soldiers fight and die, Colonel Violet does what no other Red Ribbon officer would: she recognizes a lost cause and starts planning her escape. Dropping money near her exit route and moving assets into position, Violet proves she is the smartest person in the building, because she is the only one who understands that the Red Ribbon Army is already finished.

The Walls Close In

This episode showcases the full scope of Goku's post-Korin Tower power. The same boy who could not touch Mercenary Tao now demolishes an entire military fortress without breaking a sweat. The Kamehameha is used offensively against groups of soldiers for the first time in a large-scale assault.

The reunion of the original Dragon Ball cast, including Yamcha, Oolong, Puar, Launch, and Krillin rallying together for a rescue mission, brings the series full circle. Their determination to help Goku despite the overwhelming odds highlights the bonds formed throughout the series.
