One Boy Against an Army

As Goku flies toward Red Ribbon Army Headquarters, Colonel Violet uses General Blue's stolen Dragon Radar to locate the Seven-Star Ball in territory guarded by a hostile local tribe. She retrieves it through a narrow escape and delivers it to Commander Red in exchange for her fee. Staff Officer Black detects four Dragon Balls approaching the base on radar and assumes Mercenary Tao is returning to collect payment.

At Kame House, Bulma finishes building her Scouter Drone. Master Roshi immediately misuses it to spy on beachgoers, but Bulma eventually locates Goku on the device's feed. Launch identifies his trajectory: he is headed directly for Red Ribbon Army Headquarters. The drone scouts ahead to confirm, dodging the base's anti-aircraft defenses with impressive agility before finally being shot down, but not before verifying Goku's course.

Horrified by the prospect of Goku taking on the entire Red Ribbon Army alone, Master Roshi decides to stage a rescue. Bulma calls Yamcha for transportation, and he arrives with a plane, ready to help. Yamcha, Launch, Oolong, and Puar all join the mission, while Krillin misses the departure because he is swimming to the grocery store for Roshi. The episode closes with a montage recapping the entire Red Ribbon Army Saga as Goku arrives at the heavily fortified base.

The Friends Goku Never Asked For

Master Roshi's immediate decision to mount a rescue mission says everything about his relationship with Goku. The old master knows exactly how dangerous the Red Ribbon Army is, and he does not hesitate for a moment. Yamcha, Launch, Oolong, and Puar all volunteer without question, each willing to face a military organization for one kid who never asked for help.

Colonel Violet's Debut

Colonel Violet's introduction adds a new type of Red Ribbon officer to the mix. Unlike the combat-focused Blue or Yellow, Violet operates through cunning and self-preservation. Her clean retrieval of the Seven-Star Ball demonstrates competence, but her mercenary attitude toward the Army itself, collecting fees rather than showing loyalty, hints at where her allegiance truly lies.

The Calm Before the Storm

Colonel Violet makes her first appearance here, the only female officer in the Red Ribbon Army's ranks. Her pragmatic approach to the organization contrasts sharply with the fanaticism of commanders like Blue and Yellow.

The episode features brief flashback appearances of nearly every Red Ribbon antagonist from the saga, including Colonel Silver, General White, Android 8, and Mercenary Tao. Commander Red's silence when Black mentions world domination subtly foreshadows the shocking revelation about Red's true wish that comes in the next episode.
