Vegeta arrives just in time to save Goku from Android 19's energy drain. After Yamcha takes the ailing Goku home for treatment, Vegeta stuns everyone by revealing his Super Saiyan transformation and systematically dismantles Android 19 with his Big Bang Attack.
With Goku's energy nearly depleted and Android 19 poised to finish the job, a powerful blast interrupts the battle. Vegeta descends onto the battlefield, having tracked the commotion from afar. He wastes no time, delivering a brutal kick that sends Android 19 stumbling backward and freeing Goku from the android's grip. Yamcha quickly steps in and carries the weakened Goku away so he can receive the heart medicine at home.
All eyes turn to Vegeta as he squares off against the remaining Androids. The Saiyan prince radiates an intensity the others have never seen, and then he does something no one believed possible: he transforms into a Super Saiyan. The golden aura erupts around him, sending shockwaves through the group. Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, and Tien stare in disbelief as the prince they once considered an outsider achieves the legendary form.
Vegeta reveals that unlike Goku, whose transformation was born from grief over Krillin's death on Namek, his own awakening came from the sheer fury of being unable to surpass his rival. That burning frustration, channeled through months of relentless solitary training in the wilderness, finally pushed him over the edge and unlocked the Super Saiyan power within him.
The battle between Super Saiyan Vegeta and Android 19 is entirely one-sided. Vegeta toys with the rotund android, landing heavy blows that send it reeling across the landscape. When Android 19 attempts to use its Energy Absorption technique by grabbing Vegeta's arms, the Saiyan prince simply rips both of the android's hands clean off, rendering the ability useless forever.
Terrified and now defenseless, Android 19 turns to flee. Vegeta shows no mercy. He charges his signature Big Bang Attack and fires it directly at the retreating android, obliterating everything except its severed head, which bounces along the rocky terrain.
With Android 19 reduced to scrap, the remaining android, Number 20, quickly calculates that direct confrontation would be suicidal. Rather than face Vegeta's overwhelming power, he flees into the surrounding mountain cliffs, using the rocky terrain to mask his presence. The Z Fighters give chase, but the android's knowledge of the landscape gives him the advantage he needs to stay hidden.
The group splits up to search the area, setting the stage for a dangerous cat-and-mouse pursuit through the jagged cliffs and narrow ravines.
