Vegeta arrives at the island chain and confronts Semi-Perfect Cell, revealing his new Super Saiyan Second Grade transformation. The Saiyan prince utterly dominates Cell in combat, while Goku and Gohan begin their own intense training inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Cell reaches the final island in the chain, the one where Android 18 and the damaged Android 16 have been hiding. Just as he charges his attack to obliterate it and flush out his quarry, a powerful blast intercepts him from above. Vegeta descends from the sky with Future Trunks at his side, though Vegeta makes it immediately clear that Trunks is there only to observe. This fight belongs to the Saiyan prince alone, and he will not share the glory with anyone.
Cell sizes up his new opponent and assumes he will be facing both Saiyans simultaneously. Vegeta corrects him with a confident smirk and begins powering up. His muscles swell, his aura intensifies beyond the standard golden glow, and he ascends beyond the ordinary Super Saiyan form into what he proudly calls Super Saiyan Second Grade. The transformation is visually striking: Vegeta's body bulges with condensed power, his golden hair grows more rigid and sharp, and the sheer force of his energy creates a windstorm that flattens vegetation across the island. He declares himself "Super Vegeta" and charges forward to meet Cell head-on. The battle begins in earnest, and from the very first blow, it is clear that the balance of power has shifted dramatically.
The fight between Super Vegeta and Semi-Perfect Cell is a masterclass in one-sided destruction. Vegeta lands blow after blow, each hit sending Cell careening across the landscape. Cell's counterattacks are either blocked or dodged entirely. The bio-android, who just hours ago seemed unstoppable, cannot lay a finger on the evolved Saiyan prince.
Vegeta savors every moment. He deliberately holds back, extending the fight to humiliate his opponent rather than ending it quickly. Every punch, every kick, every energy blast is delivered with theatrical precision designed to remind Cell of his inferiority.
Meanwhile, inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku and Gohan take their first steps into the infinite white expanse. Gohan stares in awe at the vast nothingness stretching before them, the oppressive gravity already weighing on his young body. Goku places a reassuring hand on his son's shoulder and tells him that this is where they will forge the power needed to protect everything they care about.
The father and son begin their training in earnest, with Goku encouraging Gohan to push past his limits. Outside, Vegeta continues to punish Cell, but the bio-android's mind is already working on a way to turn the tables.
