Trunks vs. His Father

Vegeta has made his decision. He steps aside and allows Cell to go after Android 18, fully committed to the promise of a greater battle once the bio-android reaches perfection. Future Trunks is horrified by his father's recklessness. He has seen the devastation that powerful androids can cause firsthand in his own ruined timeline, and he refuses to let another catastrophe unfold when it can be prevented. Trunks powers up and charges after Cell, delivering a devastating assault that drives the bio-android back across the island with a barrage of energy blasts and punishing strikes.

But Vegeta will not allow his son to interfere with the arrangement. The Saiyan prince intercepts Trunks mid-flight and blocks his path, forcing his own child to make an impossible choice: fight his father or let Cell complete the absorption. Trunks, tears of frustration streaming down his face, attacks Vegeta. Father and son clash in a brief but fierce exchange, their energy blasts lighting up the sky. The distraction is exactly what Cell needed. While the two Saiyans are occupied with each other, the bio-android slips past both of them and closes in on Android 18's hiding spot with predatory focus.

The Final Absorption

Cell reaches the island where Android 18 and the battered Android 16 have been concealing themselves. Krillin stands nearby, having already failed to use the shutdown remote. Android 16 attempts to protect 18, but in his damaged state he is no match for Semi-Perfect Cell, who swats him aside like a broken toy. Krillin charges in and is similarly dispatched with a single backhand.

Trunks breaks free from Vegeta and races toward Cell at full speed, but the bio-android has one more trick. He raises his hands and fires Tien's Solar Flare, the same blinding technique he used to escape Piccolo in Gingertown. White light floods the sky, and every fighter on the island is temporarily blinded.

Perfection Achieved

When the light fades, it is too late. Cell's tail has already engulfed Android 18, and the absorption is underway. His body seizes and begins reshaping itself in a violent metamorphosis. Energy erupts outward in shockwaves that flatten the surrounding terrain. When the transformation completes, the creature that emerges bears little resemblance to its previous forms.

Perfect Cell stands tall with a sleek, humanoid physique, a confident smirk, and an aura of power so immense that every fighter on the planet can feel it. The form Cell has obsessed over since his creation is finally his. He stretches his new body and savors the moment, while the Z Fighters stare in dread at what they have allowed to be born.
