EpisodioEp. 276

Vegeta tears out the pod containing the original fat Buu, triggering Super Buu's complete regression. The Pod That Changed Everything

Goku blasts the absorption goo off an unconscious Vegeta just in time. As Buu's internal avatar closes in, Goku fires energy blasts wildly through the creature's innards. One shot nearly hits the fat Buu's pod, and Super Buu's reaction is immediate and panicked. He intercepts the blast himself, revealing that the pod is somehow essential to his existence.

Vegeta catches this and realizes the truth. He marches toward the pod and grabs hold of it. Super Buu's avatar abandons Goku entirely, screaming at Vegeta to stop. He begs, pleading that if the pod is removed, he will no longer be himself. The desperation in Buu's voice only confirms that Vegeta has found the key to unraveling him.

Escape from the Collapsing Buu

Vegeta rips the pod free. Super Buu's avatar dissolves into a puddle of pink liquid, and outside, the real Buu screams in agony as his body begins to destabilize. Goku and Vegeta grab the pods containing Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo, then race for an exit. They find a ventilation hole in Buu's head, but scalding steam blocks the way. Goku fires a Kamehameha to hold back the eruption just long enough for both Saiyans to squeeze through with their cargo.

Outside, the unconscious fighters are freed from their pods but remain unresponsive. Goku and Vegeta set them down and turn their attention back to Buu, whose body is undergoing a violent transformation. He swells to enormous size, then shrinks, then changes shape entirely.

The Original Monster

When the transformation ends, a much smaller figure stands where Super Buu used to be. He looks almost childlike, with a shorter build and a wild, unfocused gaze. Goku and Vegeta assume this diminished form must be weaker and believe they finally have the upper hand.

On the Sacred World of the Kai, Kibito Kai watches in horror. He knows what this creature truly is. With every absorbed personality stripped away, Buu has returned to his most primal state: Kid Buu, the original form of the monster that once terrorized the Supreme Kais millions of years ago. Episode 276 marks Kid Buu's first appearance and the beginning of the saga's final act.
