Maya Kasai

Maya Kasai served as art director and background artist for the first episode of Dragon Ball Daima, the latest anime continuation of the franchise. Her responsibilities included art design and background painting, establishing the visual palette for the new series. She also contributed background art to Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the 2022 theatrical release that explored the next generation of martial artists. Kasai's work ensures that each setting, from city streets to alien battlegrounds, feels cohesive with the Dragon Ball aesthetic.

Beyond Dragon Ball, Kasai has worked on background art and design across various anime and film projects, including the Tropical-Rouge Precure film. Her expertise in art direction allows her to contribute to the overall visual language of the productions she joins.
