Dende recognizes the danger immediately: if Buu succeeds, the entire universe could implode. The stakes have escalated from a battle for Earth to a fight for the survival of all existence.

Buu surrounds himself with an energy shield while continuing to rip at the dimensional walls. Vegito attacks the barrier but finds himself being pushed back by the sheer output of Buu's desperate power. Rather than retreat, Vegito gathers his strength and erupts through the shield with a devastating uppercut that sends Buu plummeting into the ocean below.
