Mr. Satan steps up as Earth's supposed champion against Majin Buu. Armed with poisoned candy, video games, and explosives, he tries every trick to eliminate the monster. Instead of destroying him, Buu finds Satan hilarious and adopts him as a friend. On the Sacred World of the Kai, Old Kai completes the first phase of Gohan's power unlock.
With Majin Buu continuing to devastate the planet, the world turns to Mr. Satan as its savior. Still riding the fraudulent fame from claiming he defeated Cell, Satan is sent to confront Buu alongside two of the King's soldiers. At the Lookout, Bulma and Chi-Chi tend to the injuries Goten and Trunks sustained during their failed attempt against Buu. Piccolo insists the boys need strategy, not just brute force, and resumes their Fusion training.
Satan arrives at Buu's house and puts on a brave front, preparing to face the creature that has wiped out most of Earth's population.
Mr. Satan pulls out every scheme he can think of to destroy Majin Buu. He offers poisoned chocolates that Buu swallows without any effect whatsoever. He brings video games as a distraction. He even plants explosives, hoping to catch Buu off guard. Nothing works.
Rather than getting angry, Buu finds Satan's desperate antics genuinely entertaining. The monster decides this funny little man should be his new companion. Satan, expecting annihilation at any moment, finds himself in the surreal position of becoming Majin Buu's playmate.

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....

Dragon Ball handed us a protagonist with no history and the internet named him John Dragon Ball. So we built him somebody to talk to....
On the Sacred World of the Kai, Old Kai finally completes the twenty-hour dancing portion of his ritual to unlock Gohan's hidden potential. However, the process is not yet finished. Old Kai informs Gohan that five more hours of strict meditation are required before any results will manifest.
Gohan must remain perfectly still and focused while the power slowly builds within him. Goku, Supreme Kai, and Kibito can only watch and wait, knowing that every passing moment costs Earth dearly as Buu's rampage continues unchecked.
