Buu Gobbles Up Buu! Onslaught of a New Majin!

EpisodeEp. 142

Evil Buu proves overwhelmingly superior to his good counterpart, reflecting the candy beam back at Fat Buu and devouring him. The resulting fusion creates Super Buu, who immediately flies to the Lookout and demands to fight Gotenks.

A One-Sided Confrontation

Fat Buu tries to stand against the newly separated Evil Buu, but the fight is hopelessly lopsided. The majority of Buu's power transferred to his evil half during the separation, leaving Fat Buu as little more than a shell of his former self. In a desperate move, Fat Buu fires his signature candy beam, but Evil Buu effortlessly deflects it back at its source. Fat Buu is transformed into chocolate and consumed by his dark counterpart.

The absorption triggers a dramatic transformation. Evil Buu's body swells and reshapes into a more complete form: Super Buu. This new entity possesses the combined power of both halves, along with a calculating intelligence that neither version had on its own. Sensing the energy signatures of Piccolo and the others on the Lookout, Super Buu wastes no time and flies directly toward them.

Upon arrival, Super Buu demands to fight the warrior he was promised: Gotenks. Piccolo, thinking quickly, attempts to stall by suggesting Buu entertain himself by wiping out the remaining Earthlings first. Behind the scenes, Piccolo instructs Krillin to rush Goten and Trunks into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, hoping to squeeze every possible second of training from the little time they have left.

The Predator Emerges

The transformation from Evil Buu to Super Buu represents one of the most significant power shifts in the entire saga. Where Fat Buu was unpredictable and childlike, Super Buu is focused and purposeful. He does not destroy randomly; he makes demands, calculates his options, and demonstrates patience when it serves him. This combination of overwhelming strength and tactical thinking makes him the most dangerous version of Buu the heroes have faced so far.

Piccolo's gambit to redirect Buu toward Earth's population is a morally agonizing decision, sacrificing millions to buy minutes of training time for the only fighters who might stand a chance.

Piccolo's Desperate Gamble

Piccolo assumes the role of battlefield commander in this episode, and the weight of that responsibility is visible in every decision he makes. Telling Super Buu to go kill innocent people is not something a warrior of his principles does lightly, but the alternative is immediate annihilation for everyone. His quick thinking in sending Goten and Trunks to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber shows the strategic mind that has always set Piccolo apart.

Krillin, too, demonstrates his value here. He may not be strong enough to fight Buu, but he follows Piccolo's orders without hesitation, understanding that every second counts.
