The One-Star Dragon

The ice-covered city becomes the arena as Goku takes on Eis Shenron with a five-second deadline he set for himself. He pummels the ice dragon into the ground and prepares a finishing 10x Kamehameha, but Eis grabs the unconscious Pan and uses her as a human shield. Goku drops his guard, and Eis hurls Pan at him before kicking him while he cradles his granddaughter.

Goku recovers and gets in the cowardly dragon's face, furious at the tactic. He readies another finishing blow, but Eis hides behind Nuova next, using his own brother as a shield. When Goku hesitates again, Eis freezes him in ice a second time. Nuova scolds his brother for the disgraceful behavior.

Goku shatters the ice and stops Eis's Ice Cannon dead in its tracks. The terrified dragon begs for his life and offers up his Dragon Ball. Even Nuova advises Goku to take the ball and let Eis leave. Goku agrees, but it is all a trick. Eis digs his fingers into the ground, forms Ice Claws, and slashes Goku across the eyes, blinding him.

Eis moves in for the kill, but Goku's remaining four senses prove razor sharp. Using sound, smell, touch, and ki sense, the blinded Saiyan impales Eis through the chest with his fist. He finishes the ice dragon with a devastating Dragon Fist of Rage. Eis Shenron is destroyed, but Goku's vision is gone.

While Goku washes his eyes in a futile attempt to restore his sight, Nuova Shenron approaches with an antidote that will heal the damage. The fire dragon explains that unlike his brother, he values a fair fight and wants to settle their rivalry properly. But before Goku can drink the antidote, an energy beam strikes Nuova in the back and shatters the vial.

Syn Shenron, the One-Star Dragon and the most powerful Shadow Dragon, steps from the shadows. Disgusted by Nuova's mercy, Syn fires again. Nuova hurls himself in front of Goku, taking the fatal blast. Before dying, the fire dragon apologizes, saying he wanted to settle their fight fairly. Enraged and still blind, Goku rises to face the strongest enemy he has ever encountered.
