Gohan transforms into a Super Saiyan and successfully extracts the Z Sword, though wielding its incredible weight proves to be a challenge of its own. Babidi discovers the location of Trunks' home, putting the Dragon Radar in jeopardy.
At the Lookout, the mood among Bulma and the other refugees remains deeply grim. The group is forced to confront a painful and seemingly inescapable reality: Gohan, the warrior who ascended to Super Saiyan 2 and defeated the mighty Cell seven years ago, appears to have fallen against a threat even he could not overcome. The loss feels final and absolute. Among the grieving faces, Videl stands apart from the group. She alone refuses to accept that Gohan is dead, holding onto an instinct that defies all evidence and logic. Her unwavering belief, dismissed by the others as denial, will eventually prove to be well-founded.
On the Sacred World of the Kai, Gohan continues his struggle with the Z Sword. His base form simply lacks the raw power needed to dislodge the ancient blade from its stone prison. After straining until his muscles burn, Gohan pushes beyond his limits and transforms into a Super Saiyan. The golden aura surges through his body, and he channels every ounce of the amplified strength into one tremendous, sustained pull. Metal grinds against rock, and the sword finally slides free, sending shockwaves across the sacred ground that cause even Supreme Kai to stumble. But the celebration is short-lived. The Z Sword is extraordinarily heavy, far beyond what Gohan anticipated. He can barely lift the blade above his waist, let alone swing it with any precision or speed in a real fight.
Supreme Kai watches with a mixture of awe and growing concern as Gohan attempts to practice with the legendary Z Sword. Every swing is labored and painfully slow, the immense weight of the ancient blade turning even the most basic lateral movements into exhausting, full-body ordeals. The sword drags Gohan's arms downward constantly, and maintaining a combat-ready stance requires all of his concentration. He must build his raw physical strength and weapon coordination simultaneously if the Z Sword is to have any practical use against Majin Buu. The training ahead will be grueling and repetitive, but the potential reward could fundamentally shift the balance of power in the fight for Earth's survival.
On Earth, the situation deteriorates by the hour. Goten and Trunks commit themselves to learning the Fusion Dance after witnessing yet another city fall to Babidi and Buu's campaign of destruction. The boys practice their poses with growing intensity, driven by the knowledge that millions of lives depend on their success. Their training is interrupted by a chilling new telepathic announcement from Babidi: the wizard has discovered the exact location of Trunks' family home at Capsule Corporation in West City. Inside that house sits the Dragon Radar, the only device capable of locating the Dragon Balls. A race against time begins.
