Vegeta Steps Into the Fire

Emerging from the wreckage of Babidi's destroyed spaceship, Vegeta surveys the battlefield with cold fury. He immediately accuses Buu of killing Gohan, a declaration that sends shockwaves through the assembled fighters. Piccolo is stunned to hear this confirmation of what he feared, and genuine grief washes over the Namekian warrior. But Vegeta does not pause to mourn. The prince has spent his entire life running from sentiment, and he will not start indulging it now. Fueled by rage, guilt, and a deepening sense of responsibility for the disaster he helped create, Vegeta launches himself at Majin Buu with everything he has. The Saiyan prince fights with a ferocity that surpasses anything he displayed against Goku moments earlier, pouring every reserve of energy into a relentless offensive.

A Hole Through the Monster

Vegeta's assault is savage and unrelenting. He hammers Buu with punishing combinations, energy salvos, and point-blank blasts that would reduce mountains to rubble. The onslaught eventually culminates in a devastating attack that punches clean through the Majin's midsection, leaving a gaping hole where his stomach used to be. For one brief, hopeful instant, it appears as though Vegeta may have found a weakness. The hole in Buu's torso is massive and would be instantly fatal for any conventional opponent. But Majin Buu is anything but conventional.

Regeneration Beyond Reason

But Majin Buu is not a normal opponent by any stretch of the imagination. The gaping wound in his stomach seals shut in mere seconds, the pink flesh flowing back together like liquid rubber being poured into a mold. Buu's regenerative ability operates on a level that renders even the most devastating physical attacks completely meaningless. No matter how much damage Vegeta inflicts, no matter how many holes he punches or limbs he severs, the Majin simply reforms his body and continues fighting as though absolutely nothing happened. The realization slowly and painfully dawns on Vegeta that conventional combat, regardless of power level, cannot defeat this creature. Something fundamentally different will be needed to put Buu down permanently.

Buu's Explosive Counterattack

Having toyed with Vegeta long enough, Buu generates a massive explosion centered directly on his own body. The shockwave engulfs the Saiyan prince before he can even attempt to dodge, inflicting catastrophic injuries across his entire frame. Vegeta collapses to the ground, his body battered and broken beyond what most warriors could survive. The brutally one-sided nature of Buu's counterattack makes the staggering power gap between them painfully and undeniably obvious. Yet even as he lies in the dirt, barely able to move, the look in Vegeta's eyes suggests that the Saiyan prince is far from finished with this fight.
