Deceptive Appearances

Majin Buu does not look like the catastrophic threat Supreme Kai described. His round, rubbery body and childish demeanor seem almost comical, more like a cartoon character than an engine of universal destruction. Yet the Supreme Kai, who witnessed Buu's original rampage in a distant era, confirms with visible dread that this is indeed the genuine article. The being that slaughtered four of the five Supreme Kais now stands before them in the flesh. On the distant battlefield, both Goku and Vegeta pause their combat as they detect an enormous new ki signature radiating across the planet. Babidi gleefully introduces himself as Buu's master, but the Majin shows absolutely zero interest in following orders or respecting the chain of command.

Dabura's Downfall

When Dabura insults Buu by calling him a fool, the Majin's playful demeanor vanishes in an instant. In a display of raw, overwhelming force, Buu demolishes the Demon King with casual ease. Dabura, the warrior who gave Gohan serious trouble and turned Krillin and Piccolo to stone, is swatted aside like an insect. He barely has time to register what happened before the fight is over. This single exchange makes the severity of the situation terrifyingly clear to everyone present. Power levels that seemed formidable moments ago have been rendered meaningless overnight.

Vegeta's Betrayal

Goku senses the dire situation unfolding with Gohan, Supreme Kai, and Buu through their fluctuating ki signatures. He pleads with Vegeta to set aside their rivalry temporarily so they can face the Majin threat together as a united front. Even when Goku warns that Buu will slaughter Bulma, Trunks, and everyone Vegeta cares about, the prince coldly refuses. He claims he does not care what happens to his family, a statement so heartless that even Goku is taken aback. After berating Vegeta and knocking him to the ground, Goku finally appears to convince him to relent. The ceasefire lasts only seconds. While Goku reaches for the last Senzu Bean in his pouch, distracted for just an instant, Vegeta strikes him from behind with a devastating blow and knocks him unconscious.

Gohan and Shin Under Siege

With Goku knocked unconscious by Vegeta's cheap shot and the Saiyan prince heading off alone to face Buu, Gohan and Supreme Kai are left completely without reinforcements. Their attempt to flee proves futile as Buu closes the distance effortlessly, moving with a speed that belies his round, heavy body. He batters Gohan with tremendous force, sending the young Saiyan crashing through rocks and terrain. The Supreme Kai mounts a counterattack with everything he has, channeling his divine energy into concentrated blasts, but the attacks have absolutely no measurable effect on the Majin. Earth's defenders are scattered, divided, and outmatched at every turn.
