Goku visits Grand Zeno at his palace and earns a special summoning button, while Zamasu kills a Babarian against Gowasu's wishes. The team then departs for the future in the repaired Time Machine.
After Beerus relays Zeno's summons, Goku must visit the ruler of the entire multiverse. Since the journey to Zeno's palace would take two days by normal travel, Whis suggests they use Supreme Kai Shin to teleport there instantly. Beerus refuses to go, terrified of Zeno, but orders Whis to accompany Goku and keep him in line. Before departing, Beerus desperately warns Goku that the fate of the universe depends on his behavior.
At the palace, the Grand Minister greets them and leads the group inside. Whis privately tells Goku that the Grand Minister possesses one of the five highest power levels in all the universes, cautioning him against doing anything foolish like asking to fight. When Goku finally meets Zeno, the exchange is stunningly casual. Zeno simply wants a friend. Goku agrees, nicknames him "Zen-chan," and promises to visit again after handling his current situation. Zeno's attendants bristle at Goku's informality, but Zeno silences them with a chilling threat. As a parting gift, Zeno hands Goku a button that will summon him instantly from anywhere.
Meanwhile in Universe 10, Zamasu kills a Babarian who attacked from behind, slicing it in half with an energy blade despite Gowasu's protests. Back on Earth, Bulma finishes charging the Time Machine, and Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks set off for the alternate timeline. Upon arrival, they find a devastated landscape, and Goku is immediately attacked by resistance fighters who mistake him for Goku Black.
Goku's meeting with Zeno is a masterclass in contrast. The most powerful being in existence wants nothing more than a playmate, while every god present is paralyzed with fear. Goku's complete lack of reverence is precisely what Zeno finds appealing, proving that sincerity can accomplish what ceremony cannot. The summoning button becomes one of the saga's most important plot devices. Zamasu's killing of the Babarian works as a direct counterpoint. While Goku builds bridges through honesty, Zamasu burns them through contempt. His willingness to override his master's authority reveals how far his disillusionment has already progressed.
This episode positions several critical elements for the saga's climax. Zeno's button will become a last resort when all other options fail. The revelation that Supreme Kais and Gods of Destruction are linked through life and death explains why eliminating one has catastrophic consequences, a detail Goku Black will later exploit. Zamasu's growing defiance of Gowasu accelerates the timeline toward his betrayal. The departure to the future with the repaired Time Machine closes the chapter of preparation and plunges the heroes back into active conflict.
