With New Hope in His Heart - Farewell, Trunks

Fused Zamasu's defeat proves to be anything but final. Rather than perishing, the corrupt god sheds his physical body and spreads across the sky as a formless entity, his face appearing in silhouette across the heavens. Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks attempt a combined assault, firing Kamehameha, Final Flash, and Galick Gun together, but their attacks have no effect on something that has transcended physical form. Zamasu's malevolent energy begins consuming the Earth and spreading throughout the multiverse, and his many faces rain destruction from above.

The situation turns desperate when the survivors realize every civilian on the planet has been killed. Future Mai collapses in grief, and even the mighty Saiyans are powerless.
