A Master's Tough Love

With Goku still recovering from his battle with Jiren, Universe 3 sends its warriors to attack him while he is vulnerable. Gohan trusts his father to handle the situation and continues his own fight alongside Piccolo against the Universe 6 Namekians. Elsewhere, Caulifla and Kale are ambushed by Monna of Universe 4, and Cabba steps in so the two female Saiyans can recover their stamina, believing they will be Universe 6's secret weapons for survival.

Cabba fights valiantly as a Super Saiyan but finds himself outmatched by Monna's expanding body attacks. Just as he is about to fall off the edge, Vegeta catches him and throws him back onto the stage. The Saiyan prince then blasts Monna away without a word. However, Vegeta shows no tenderness toward his student, kneeing Cabba in the stomach and berating him for his weakness. When Cabba gloomily admits that one of their universes will be erased and his promise to show Vegeta Planet Sadala cannot be kept, Vegeta makes a stunning declaration: if Universe 7 wins, he will use the Super Dragon Balls to revive Universe 6.

Reinvigorated by his master's words, Cabba confronts Monna again. When she insults Vegeta and threatens to defeat all the Saiyans, Cabba's rage pushes him into Super Saiyan 2 for the first time. He overpowers Monna and knocks her out of the ring. But his victory is short-lived. Frieza corners the exhausted Cabba, transforms into True Golden Frieza, and tortures him with Death Beams before blasting him off the stage. Frieza silently reveals his real objective: using the Super Dragon Balls to control the gods.

Two Visions of Saiyan Legacy

Vegeta and Frieza both interact with Cabba, and the contrast defines them. Vegeta's roughness is a teaching method; he pushes Cabba because he believes in the young Saiyan. His vow to revive Universe 6 is perhaps his most selfless moment in the entire series, born from a desire to preserve the Saiyan race across universes.

Frieza sees Cabba as prey. His attack on an exhausted fighter demonstrates a complete lack of martial honor, and his whispered ambition to control the gods reveals that his cooperation with Universe 7 has always been conditional.

The Second Half Begins

With 23 minutes remaining, Universe 6 loses Cabba. Caulifla immediately challenges Goku, having regained her strength thanks to Cabba's sacrifice, setting the stage for one of the tournament's most entertaining matchups.

The closing exchange between Goku and Vegeta, standing back to back against their opponents, symbolizes their enduring bond. Vegeta's quiet statement that "Saiyans will live on" carries the weight of a warrior who has found something worth fighting for beyond pride.
