A Whole New Gohan

While Goten and Trunks scramble for a way to stall Super Buu until they can fuse again, the villain unexpectedly falls asleep. The boys consider testing whether Buu is truly unconscious, but Piccolo wisely holds them back. For a brief moment, it seems like time might be on their side.

That fragile calm shatters when an enormous power signature rockets toward them. Piccolo initially mistakes it for Goku, but Goten recognizes the energy as his brother's. Gohan descends in a version of his father's iconic orange gi, alive and well thanks to the intervention of the Supreme Kai and Kibito. The joy of reunion is tempered by grim news: Super Buu slaughtered everyone on Kami's Lookout. Yet Gohan senses that Dende still lives, offering a sliver of hope even after learning his mother and Videl have perished.

Super Buu remembers defeating Gohan once before and radiates confidence, but the Gohan standing before him now is a completely different fighter. The battle opens, and Buu cannot land a single blow. His speed, his power, his technique; none of it is enough to touch the newly awakened Saiyan.
